Word Count 11,230 This story really was based on someone asking; where is the edge of the universe ? A Sci-Fi tale about fusion power, the occult and unseen forces………. Enjoy - Ed - April 2016 It should be obvious that a work of Fantasy or SciFi is made up, but no one likes to find a name that looks like theirs in a story on the net. It's even worse if the main villain bares their name.
I do a lot of digging on Google to make sure that all the company names I use are fictitious. I also tend to look up people in a particular field, to make sure I'm not naming a rogue after them. All that said, it's impossible to use names that are unique, especially when writing about the present day UK. It is worth repeating that; All characters appearing in this work are fictitious. It will only become real to your readers, when you mention the annoying way it rubs behind your hero’s left knee and the way the servo that operates the right thumb, keeps sticking.
