City of the Lost God - Part 39 – So Many Memories
Word count  9,280

The final part of City of the Lost God. A total of 39 monthly parts, over 265,000 words, which equates to 884 novel length pages. I may split it into a three book trilogy one day.

It began as a way to give readers something every month, while I finished the Mendera Trilogy. Three years later and I can drop into the mind of Muzzie, as easily as my own. I will write a book about Muzzie and Lilleth one day, maybe send them across the rifts to Leng.

I have tied up most loose ends and given it an ending that even I hadn’t expected. Much loved characters can do that; change the fate you had planned for them.

The City will carry on of course, whether we’re watching it or not………

A deliberately feel good story for Christmas. I don’t want to give any spoilers, just think of it as schmaltz with an edge. I hope it leaves you thinking…..’maybe, just maybe…..’

Happy Christmas 2016

As an agnostic I still enjoy Christmas. There might have been no Jesus; there definitely wasn’t any kind of roman census going on. The nativity may be the best and earliest form of fake news, cooked up for local politics in ancient Palestine.

To be honest, that doesn’t matter. It’s the one time of the year when people are slightly less selfish and there’s a tiny amount of goodwill about. It isn’t much, but we should grab it with both hands and enjoy it!

Happy Christmas everyone!!
